Welcome to Soul Surfer Screenprinting and Custom Designs. We are a small printing company located in the heart of historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. All printing is done by hand on a simple four color press, nothing is automated. It may be archaeic but to me it is about the craft and personal touch that goes into every single shirt I print. With this age of technology, machines are slowly replacing actual workers and in my eyes something is lost along the way. I strongly believe in hardwork and producing a high quality product for all my customers.

HOW IT ALL STARTED:
My whole life I loved to draw and paint and in 2006 during my senior year in college all my projects coincidentally were beach themed. My brother had given me a license plate with ‘Soul Surfer’ , which I started to brand on most of my artwork. My last semester I took a print making class with only 4 students. I had a wonderful professor who during the last few weeks asked if we wanted to learn how to screen print. Another student and I would stay after and learn different techniques. There was a wash sink in the basement of our apartment and the perfect amount of darkness, two of the ingredients to make screens. I’ve always been a nightowl so I’d stay up late making the first Soul Surfer t-shirts. In December 2007 my brother and I were given the opportunity to fix up an old store in an old city. We spent months putting up sheet rock, painting and fixing it up in time for our May 16, 2008 opening.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY:
I have seen my business grow every year thanks to all my wonderful customers who have continued to support me. Without all of you and my family I don’t know if I’d be able to keep it going. There have been countless sleepless nights to meet deadlines but I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. I am proud of the person I have become and what I have accomplished. Who knows how long I can ride this wave but I will keep paddling out as long as I can.
